Search for Ben Stone Ends at Los Santos International: Found Alive, Searching for 'Clappy'

Los Santos, San Andreas — July 24, 2025

After months of uncertainty and growing concern, the search for Ben Stone has come to a close in the most unexpected of places: the lobby of Los Santos International Airport.

Stone was discovered late Wednesday evening by a honeymooning couple who noticed the man wandering barefoot and disheveled through the arrivals terminal. Though visibly sun-tanned and appearing confused, he was unharmed. “He just looked lost,” said a bystander, who was traveling with their spouse. “We recognized him from the missing posters. He was muttering something about ‘Clappy’ and asking where Clappy had gone.”

Airport security quickly intervened, confirmed his identity, and alerted authorities. Stone was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and later reunited with his family.

The name “Clappy” had puzzled many until Stone’s family confirmed that Clappy is the nickname of his best friend, Ray Ban. Stone had grown increasingly concerned about Ray’s whereabouts in the days before his own disappearance.

While many questions remain about how Stone ended up at LSIA, authorities have officially concluded the search effort. The investigation into the days leading up to his reappearance is ongoing, though foul play is not suspected at this time.

Stone is now home in the State of New Energy, where he is resting and recovering with family by his side.

A statement released by his family early Wednesday reads:

“Ben is safe, and that’s what matters most. He’s home, and he’s surrounded by love. We want to thank everyone—searchers, volunteers, friends, and strangers—who kept hope alive and helped bring Ben back to us.”

The family has also asked for privacy as Ben continues to recover and acclimates back into his life.
